Do you have different models/plans to choose from?

No, we do not have specific models. Every home we do is fully custom and built to specifically suit each unique client. A home is a reflection of the owner and we feel that it is important to collaborate with the client to build a home that suit their needs and desires. We can customize any and all portions of the build. We love the design and creation process. This is a time to be creative and dream.

Are your homes built for cold climates?

Our homes are built to withstand Montana winters. We give a great deal of attention to constructing our homes to endure extended cold weather. We live and work in Montana and know what it like to have stretches of sub- zero temperatures!

What type of hookups do I need for a tiny house?

Hookups for your tiny home will depend on the location where you will be parking and the utilities available. We can customize your build to be totally off grid or hook directly into city utilities, set-up with RV hookups or any combination of these. We will customize to suit your needs!

What certifications do your homes receive?

We are certified by NOAH – National Organization of Alternative Housing. This requires us to build in compliance with NOAH ANSI+ standards. We undergo 5 inspections at specific stages during the build. Upon passing the final inspection the home receives the NOAH certification.

What size homes can you build?

Our homes are typically under 400 square feet. But we have built homes up to 900 square feet. Square footage for us is much different than square footage for a site built home. As we design our homes, we are thinking about the square inch. We design to maximize every bit of space within the home. For homes that will remain on wheels, we have three different widths. They are 8’ 6”, 10”, and 11’8”. In most states, 8’6” is the standard width to go down any road. When a house is over 8’6” wide there is additional permitting that has to be done. Depending on the state, if you stay under 12’ the permitting is not overly cumbersome. Our most popular width is 10’.   We have a large range of lengths. We can go as small as 12’ and as long as 44’. Our most popular length has historically been 32’. Most of our homes are built on bumper pull frames but we can also use gooseneck frames. We do not do many of these but they are a great option if you plan to move your home regularly.

I have a crazy idea, can you make it a reality?

As long as it meets building codes and the laws of physics, we can do it!! We love it when people come to us with crazy, creative ideas. We have a lot of them ourselves. Bring us your ideas and we will figure out a way to at least get the spirit of the idea you have represented in your home.

Do you build only on a mobile foundation or do you offer more permanent solutions?

We offer both a mobile option as well as a permanent housing solution. We can build your home on a frame that is designed to remain on the home for its life. This is the traditional tiny home on wheels option. We also have the option to remove your home from the frame and place it directly onto a permanent foundation. Using this method of building we have the ability to stack homes and put multiple sections together to create larger homes. For examples of stacked homes, check out our Saunders and Smith projects.

Do you sell partial builds?

Absolutely! If you are looking for a quality built tiny home shell we are happy to provide this for you. We can build a tiny home to any stage that you like and then hand it off to you to complete. Most commonly we would design, frame, insulate, rough-in electrical and plumbing and clad the exterior. We would then hand the home off to you for installing interior wall covering, flooring and fixtures.

Do you sell plans for DIY builds?

Yes. We can work with you to develop a customized set of plans that suit your specific needs and desires.

How long does it take to build a tiny home?

The timeframe of the build depends on several factors. Once the design is completed, the complexity of the build is the biggest determining factor of how long it will take. Supply chain issues are having an impact on timing as well. We are working with our suppliers to make that less of an issue. It can still be a challenge despite all of our efforts to mitigate these disruptions. However, on average our builds take 30-60 days from start to finish.

Do you work with customers outside of Montana?

Absolutely! We have worked with customers from all over the lower 48 states.

Where can I find you on social media?

What are the next steps?

Now it is time to schedule a meeting with us. We are available via phone or video call. This first call will allow us to get to know you a bit and determine your needs and desires. From that call we can develop a plan and begin creating a design that reflects your needs and desires. This will help us to provide you a general idea of the cost of your home.
